Free games （フリーゲーム）

There are a lot of “free game creators” in Japan. They make their original games which run on PCs or mobile phones for fan, and release them online usually for free. I’m one of the creators. Why don’t we earn money? Uh, perhaps I’ll write about it someday...
日本にはたくさんの「フリーゲーム作家」がいます。彼らはパソコンやスマホで動くオリジナルゲームを趣味で作って、オンラインで大抵は無料で配布しています。私もその作家の一人です。なぜ我々がお金を稼がないのかって？ あー、もしかしたらいつかそれについて書くかもね……

I’ve been playing one of such free games for this end of year’s and New Year’s holidays. The title is “Graymerca”. It’s a simulation game like “Fire Emblem” series. Actually I’ve already played and cleared it before, but I liked the story, characters and music very much, so I’m playing it again. Honestly, the quality is not like free games. It is one of my favorite games including paid games. It’s good for long vacations because it has a very long story.
この年末年始のお休みの間、そんなフリーゲームの一つで遊んでいます。タイトルは「グレイメルカ」。「ファイアーエムブレム」シリーズのようなシミュレーションゲームです。実は以前すでに遊んでクリアしているのですが、ストーリーとキャラクター、それに音楽がすごく気に入ったのでもう一度遊んでいるんです。正直、無料のゲームのクオリティではありません。有料ゲームも含めたゲームの中でも一番好きなゲームの一つです。ストーリーがすごく長いので、長い休みにちょうどいいです。

Are there many free game creators in your country? I suppose there are not so many unlike Japan ...
